Rocrail is a software application used to control digital and analog model train layouts, including automated and manual train operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Core Features and Architecture<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Client-Server Design:<\/strong> It uses a client-server structure via TCP\/IP. The Rocrail Server connects to the physical layout hardware, while the Rocview Client runs the interface.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Automation:<\/strong> It supports automatic block-based routing, track sensor tracking, and scheduling so multiple trains can run independently without crashing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cross-Platform:<\/strong> The software runs on Windows, macOS, Linux, and Raspberry Pi. In my case, it runs on Linux (Lubuntu) on a “old” laptop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mobile and Web Control:<\/strong> It includes a web interface (Rocweb) and mobile client apps for remote operation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
