The Hound Line’s plan is to restore 4 forgotten passenger cars. Mrs Bibi, the CEO of the railroad, said that she wants to save the historic railroad cars from rotting away at an abandoned shunting yard. The first online talks have started with their owner “Lake George and Boulder” in the U.S.A. and Mrs. Bibi is optimistic about the takeover of the cars.
Meanwhile the Financial Director Mr. Euro was less optimistic. He worries about the costs of transportation of the cars to Thailand. First the cars have be transported by ship and Mr. Euro doubts if the severely damaged cars can handle the stress of this journey. After that, he plans to transport the cars for their last 300 km journey on flatbed trucks to their final new destination.
Mrs. Bibi was also ask about the faith of the street dogs which are living at this moment in and near the cars. She answered: “We will also rescue them. They will not be left behind and forgotten”.
The cars were used by LG&B around 1950 and were extremely comfortable for passengers on their long journeys thru the Rocky Mountains in the U.S.A.
