📰 Miracle at the Docks Meets Trackside Prep: Barkshire Junction Gears Up for Gandy Dancers Memorial Day
Following the monumental arrival of four historic US passenger cars at the Laem Chabang docks, the HoundLine RailRoad transport convoy is officially kicking off its journey to Prachuap Khiri Khan. However, regular operations will briefly pause tomorrow, November 2nd, as the railway hosts its annual Gandy Dancers Memorial Day Ceremony.

Behind the scenes at Barkshire Junction station, there has been absolutely no time for Mr. Naamtaan, our esteemed Head of Ticketing, to relax. Earlier today, he and a dedicated team of station helpers were spotted working late into the afternoon in the main office. The team has been busy running the copier, sorting pages, and stapling together the official event brochures to hand out to tomorrow’s attendees.
“Tomorrow is an important ceremony,” Mr. Naamtaan noted, pausing briefly from stapling a fresh stack of pamphlets. “We have to inform people, in word and deed, what these track workers did decades ago. Today there is no time for me to cheer on my favorite soccer team PT Prachuap FC!”
Visitors and rail enthusiasts attending tomorrow’s event can expect to learn about the incredible grit of the historic crews who built the foundations of modern railroading. For more updates on the convoy’s progress or details regarding the ceremony schedule, head over to thehoundline.dog.
