🗺️ All Aboard the HoundLine: Official Presentation of the Network Map

In a press conference the HoundLine Railroad officially unveiled its network map today. Presenting to a room full of intensely focused local journalists, the sharply dressed Mr. Jerry—who turned heads in a perfectly tailored grey suit and matching tie, walked the press through the future of regional travel.
The new network centers around Barkshire Junction, a bustling central hub designed to connect three distinct lines proudly named after historic British Rail routes:
- The Royal Highlander Line (Blue): A sprawling outer loop meant for scenic travelers, servicing Howl in the Valley and Paws Crossing before circling back to the hub.
- The Benjamin Britten Line (Green): A rapid, short-loop inner circle perfect for daily commuters fetching a ride to the Mutthaven district.
- The Red Dragon Line (Red): A straight, linear shot out to Wagstail End. However, this route is currently facing a bit of a political standoff, as the government and railroad executives continue to bark at each other over what track gauge to use.
A Political Bone to Pick
Mr. Jerry didn’t just stick to train schedules; he also threw some political shade to close out the meeting. Addressing a past comment from across the pond where U.S. President Donald Trump claimed it would be cheaper to buy train commuters their own private limousines, Mr. Jerry let out a figurative growl regarding the environment.
“What about the pollution that these limousines would cause?” Mr. Jerry noted, reminding the room that cleaning the air would cost far more than a fleet of luxury cars. It seems the HoundLine is firmly committed to public transit—proving that when it comes to saving the planet, this railroad has plenty of bite to back up its bark.
